The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for these fundraising nights with trivia starting at 6:00 p.m.  Teams of four will pool together to provide answers to questions on all topics.  Entry fee is $10 per person.  Food and beverage will be offered by Germania, at non-member pricing.

  Weinverein - "An Unconventional Tasting"  

  March 20, 2026 - 6:00 p.m.

  Please join us for a tasting of some unconventional wines, hosted by Sabrina Salvatori, our Heidelberg Representative.  She will be presenting some truly unique wines for us.

  The first wine will be France’s oldest sparkling wine, which predates champagne nearly 100 years!  The second wine is from  Malboroughs "secret terroir" this is a NZ Sauvignon Blanc that tastes totally different than what's expected from the region!  The third wine is a delicate white wine made with Pinot noir.  The fourth wine is a Gamay Noir that has a really cool history, including being banned in the 20^th century in Burgundy.  The fifth wine is a Super intense Bordeaux style from Washington in the Red Mountain which produces extra thick-skinned grapes. 

  Please join us to enjoy some great wine and incredible gemütlichkeit!

                  The cost will be $25.00 for Germania Members and $30.00 for                     Non-Members.

  Wanderverein - Highbanks Metro Park

  March 21, 2026 - 10:00 a.m.

  This will be our first hike of the year!  We've hiked the trails on this park before, usually following the Dripping Rock and Overlook loop trails.  This time, we'll explore more of the north and western trails.  We will hike about 5 to 5.5 miles on this hike.  The trails are considered a Moderate level of hiking.  Since it is "Spring," please wear appropriate footwear. 

  We will meet at the Nature Center to start the hike.  After the hike, we can share more time together having lunch in the area.

  We will meet at 9:45 a.m. and start the hike at 10:00 a.m.

  Come join us in supporting our choir! This annual event is loved by all members and friends of the Germania. Bring your family and friends for a great meal.  Mike Bals will be making his famous Spaghetti and Meatballs for us to indulge.

  Adults: $12.00; Children (6-12): $6.00; Children (Five and under): Free

  Doors open at 11:00 a.m., food is served from 11:30 - 2:00 p.m.
