Wooly Pig Brewery and Germania Beer School is back in session!
This is one of our most popular and fun events and will fill up quick.
Kevin Ely, the owner, master brewer at the Wooly Pig Farm Brewery, along with a few members of his team, will be at Germania as instructors of the 2025 Beer Geography Class. He is classically trained and is a judge at the world beer cup. The evening is full of learning about taste, brewing technique, science and culture. Kevin is a sought after speaker and we are lucky to have him teach this unique class.
There will be two sessions: First highlighting beers from the regions of the British Isles and Ireland . There will be a "school lunch" before we start the second session, when we will focus and sample the complex styles of beers from Belgium.
Tuition is just $40.00 per student, which includes 8 samples of beer, course handout, door prizes, school lunch, and graduation cake.
The evening will be fun and educational, as Kevin will explain the fundamentals and complexity of tasting beer, identifying styles, making beer, beer culture, and the connection between region and beer styles, and of course a big helping of camaraderie.
The school house doors open March 8th Sat. at 5:30. First period bell rings promptly at 6:30.
This event is strictly limited to 48 students. Registration is exclusive for Members and their guests.
