Celebrate spring and cast out evil, Medieval and modern style!
Walpurgisnacht, usually celebrated on April 30 (we’re celebrating on Saturday, May 6, to get a better chance of good weather!), is part of the traditional feast honoring Saint Walpurga, hailed for her skill at battling pestilence, disease, and, especially, witchcraft. Traditionally, the feast is celebrated with giant bonfires and occasional pranks.
While the feast won't be traditional German flair, we are throwing in a bit of Americana and hosting Texas Steele BBQ from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. They will have several items from their menu available and will be set up in the South parking lot next to the building. You can check out Texas Steele BBQ's full menu here.
The Brewery District frowns upon giant bonfires, though. We’ll have fire pits. We’ll have food. We’ll have traditional German beers. And, best of all, we’ll have local Rammstein tribute band FleischGewehR at 9:30pm! If you haven’t seen them, they’re a fantastic tribute to one of Germany’s all-time hottest, and most provocative, heavy metal bands.
Admission is just $5.00 per person. The show happens, rain or shine. See you there!
